Marie Klimis is a writer, designer and producer specialised in immersive and site-specific performance projects. Her work focuses on multidisciplinary projects combining socially-engaged storytelling with immersive set and sound design. She is also a founding member of migrant-led collective 27 degrees, a company creating immersive and sensory theatre in unusual spaces. In 2015, she published her first novel La Maison.
Besides her work as an artist, Marie has also worked as an event programmer and project manager for various art organisations, such as the City of London Festival, Coney or the Horniman Museum and Gardens.
She is interested in making arts more accessible and bringing performances outside of theatre venues, creating work that is inclusive, challenging and fun for people of all ages and backgrounds.
